Build-a-word Box – Phonics Learning Aid

The Build-a-Word Box is an innovative, hands-on phonics learning aid, developed to support EYFS children as they develop their early phonics, word-building and spelling skills.

At the heart of the set are specially designed letter tiles, organised into clear, colour-coded groups to help children distinguish between consonants, vowels and common digraphs found within high-frequency words typically encountered during the EYFS phase.

The tiles are housed in a convenient, portable storage case with a removable lid that transforms into a practical word-building board. Children can use the recessed board to physically construct words, moving and manipulating the tiles to develop their understanding of letter sounds, blending and word formation.

Each tile features a unique shape with a corresponding recess, helping to ensure that letters are positioned in the correct orientation.
